MEN’S COUNSELING: A safe place to reset and relaunch.

Men tend to avoid talking about issues that are personal to them—for a lot of good reasons. Maybe we are doing the best we can with the tools we have. Sometimes our coping skills are outmatched by the stressors we are experiencing. Past hurts, disappointments, expectations of self-perfection or fears can overrun our abilities to regulate our emotions—and we might respond by lashing out, withdrawing, using drugs, alcohol or by utilizing other unhealthy coping methods.

Let’s be real: there is no quick fix to healing. Some people are really having a bad season and are seeking therapy to feel relief today. If I just had a magic wand to make things better. But I don’t. What I do have is a heart—and I care. And I have a pretty good track record with my clients. Everyone’s journey in life is unique. Some people are struggling with having a bad day. Others have more profound concerns that are causing a deep sense of heartache and confusion. Sometimes getting better takes a little time—but I am close (just a phone call away)—and I am concerned.

No matter where my clients are in their journey, I like to meet them right where they are at—and become that one person on this planet with whom they can talk to—where they can feel listened to. All it takes to start your journey toward healing is this: Take the first step and contact me.

Guys, we all face issues in our lives that can outwit our coping skills.

Here’s the good news: You’re not alone! Just talking things out with a trusted counselor can be all we need to feel better. Some clients find it helpful to work on solutions only—others find value in seeing if problems from the past are alive in the here and now. Some like to work on both. I’m here to meet you right where you are and to work on the things that are important to you. I would enjoy hearing from you and being a part of your wellness team!
